DISSERTATIONS ON PEIRCE
with abstracts (when available)

NOTE: Clicking on an item listed will bring up a somewhat more detailed description of the document and -- in most cases but with many exceptions -- an abstract as well. Abstracts for these dissertations are written by the authors of the dissertations, except where otherwise noted. Details about the dissertation as a document, e.g. its author, exact title, date of approval, institutional origin and purpose, status, possible location of copy, advisor, etc., are provided from various database sources which are sometimes indicated, sometimes not.
All of this information should be regarded as liable to being erroneous in some way. There is not at present any single "official" source for this sort of information (contrary to what some databases appear to claim), and this is simply a listing of them as they are presently being compiled by me, which is work in progress. There will be somewhat more than 400 by the time I am able to complete the posting of those so far discovered by me, but there are certainly quite a few more yet to be discovered for inclusion in this particular database. (The nature of the underlying database itself is still in process of being developed and consists of nothing but a list at present.)
If you know of any dissertation(s) not included, or of any corrections that should be made, please convey that information to the present editor:
